Send accurate length, width and height, including the transport frame or packing, together with the gross weight of each piece. Mark lifting points, the centre of gravity and any restrictions on support or handling. Drawings and photographs help explain the proposed load.
Out-of-gauge status depends on how the cargo fits the selected equipment. Flat-rack or open-top options are assessed against cargo dimensions, weight, carrier limits and the facilities available at the ports.
Review the entire route
The ocean leg is only part of an oversized movement. Collection and delivery may require suitable trailers, lifting equipment, route checks, permits or agreed site arrangements. These requirements must be considered before a loading date is agreed.

Is every large item suitable for a flat-rack container?
No. Suitability depends on the cargo and the operating limits for the equipment and route. We may review another method, including breakbulk, where appropriate.
What if the dimensions change after quotation?
Send the revised details before booking or loading. A change can affect equipment, acceptance, handling and the quoted charges.
