Cargo acceptance comes before the booking.
Products can have different transport classifications and handling requirements. Provide an accurate commodity description and the available safety information so the team can identify the appropriate acceptance review.
The enquiry does not establish that every product, packing method or route can be accepted. Equipment, handling arrangements and the responsibilities of the parties are confirmed for the actual shipment.
Information to include with your enquiry
- Product name, composition or description and the current safety data sheet where applicable
- Transport classification information, including a UN number when applicable
- Packaging type, quantity, gross weight and packed dimensions
- Origin, destination, cargo-ready date and any special handling instructions
Coordinate the complete movement.
Tell us whether the requested scope includes collection, sea or road freight, storage, customs coordination or delivery. Each additional stage must be reviewed against the product and the available operating arrangements.
A written quotation should identify the accepted cargo, planned service and exclusions. Do not send cargo to a facility or terminal until acceptance and the handover instructions have been confirmed.
